It would be easy to misread what this place is for. To think that a tool which helps you organize, gather, and sharpen is quietly offering to replace the person you were going to ask.
It is not. It is doing the opposite. Everything it helps you build points outward — toward the meeting, the teacher, the living chain of authority that no screen belongs to.
This threshold exists to walk you to the door, never to stand in it.
Orientation, Then Authority
The motto of this house is orientation before authority. Read it carefully. It does not say orientation instead of authority. It says before. The orientation is preparation for the authority, not a substitute for it.
You are not lacking information — information is everywhere. You are lacking orientation: the clarity to know what you are really asking and where to bring it. This threshold gives you that clarity and then sends you on.
It exists to walk you to the door, never to stand in it.
Why Authority Cannot Be Replaced
A living teacher carries something no tool can hold — a place in an unbroken tradition, the trained judgment to apply it to your life, and the responsibility that comes with both. That is authority, and it is human by its nature.
Practical guidance, real psak, the answer you can stand on — these come from that person, never from this screen. The tool prepares you to receive them well.
So prepare here, thoroughly and without shame. Then go, more oriented than you came, and let the one with authority do what only they can do.
